Igor Hofbauer, who was born in Zagreb in 1974 and is a member of the artist collective “Komikaze”, is one of Croatia’s most famous comics artists. He is best-known for his posters that he has been designing for the club Močvara in Zagreb since 1999, and for his comic “Prison Stories” that was published by edition Studiostrip. His work has been exhibited in Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, the Netherlands and Portugal. At Gummi-Wörner, Hofbauer will exhibit original artwork from his comics “Nail Story” and “Ramon Story” as well as a selection of his best posters. The Croatian comics collective “Komikaze” that was founded by Ivana Armanini in 2002 gives an overview of the newest trends in alternative Croatian comics in its regular publications.
