A comic depends on a good story and it takes time to develop one. Many German artists are forced to earn money with side jobs which means that the dream of realizing their own comics remains just that. That is the reason that for the first time, Ehapa will award a grant for the finalization of a comic or graphic novel. The topic is “Heimat 2.0“. Anything goes. There are no stylistic standards. The only prerequisite is a convincing application. The best works, chosen by a jury of experts, will be exhibited at the 15th Erlangen International Comic Salon. With this grant, Ehapa is doing its part to support young artists in the German-speaking comics scene.
