Two years ago, the 14th Erlangen International Comic Salon traced the surprising renaissance of newspaper comic strips in Germany. Meanwhile, there is hardly a quality paper that doesn’t run “its” own commissioned comic strip. Good reason therefore, to go into a second round with the newspaper comics exhibition. In addition to strips that run in the large supraregional papers, special consideration will be given to comics that hail from regional newspapers, or from young offshoots for children and adolescents such as “Dein Spiegel” and “Süddeutsche Zeitung für Kinder“.
