Open online competition of the Erlangen International Comic Salon
and mehrwertzone.net in cooperation with bayern design GmbH
“Images explain the World” is looking for visualizations in public spaces that transform complex issues into surprising pictorial designs and are thus able to create supratextual understanding at communicative junctures, in a range of topics such as intercultural communication, intergenerational relations or the exchange of information between citizens and administrations. Graphic designers, designers, illustrators and artists are invited to upload their ideas onto the website Designers_Market until 11 May 2012. All registered users can review and comment on the uploaded entries at www.designersmarket.org . The ten most remarkable submissions will be selected by an independent jury of professionals and showcased at the 15th Erlangen International Comic Salon from 7 to 10 June 2012. One entry will be developed and realized in cooperation with the 16th Erlangen International Comic Salon 2014.
