August Strindberg (1849–1912) is Sweden's most famous and, to the present day, its most influential author, artist and playwright. In honor of his 100th birthday, the exhibition "Livet är inget för amatörer – Life isn't for Amateurs" was conceived. The Swedish comics artists Malin Biller, Anneli Furmark, Fabian Göranson, Joanna Hellgren, Loka Kanarp, Kolbeinn Karlsson, Henrik Lange, Knut Larsson, Matilda Ruta and Joanna Rubin Dranger examined the phenomenon of Strindberg, his life and work, in their own personal ways. Large panoramas with freestanding figures and original drawings document the different approaches to Strindberg's work and convey a comprehensive impression of this famous and multifaceted personality.
