10. April 2012
The first workshop of the project “Students – City – Comics“ began at the Jugendlernstube Erlangen-Bruck today. The project “Students – City – Comics“ accompanies the 15th Erlangen International Comic Salon as part of the cultural service Erlangen for schools and day care centers (KS:ER) of the Kulturprojektbüro and Jugendkunstschule of the City of Erlangen. Well-known German comics artists, such as Schwarwel, Elke Steiner, Michael Jordan and Aisha Franz, will develop stories with about 170 kids and teenagers which deal with their living environments. The following institutions are involved: Stadtbibliothek Erlangen, Jugendlernstube Bruck, Städtischer Hort Liegnitzer Straße, Ernst-Penzoldt-Mittelschule, Christian-Ernst-Gymnasium, Hermann-Hedenus-Mittelschule, Realschule am Europakanal, Erich-Kästner-Schule and Max-und-Justine-Elsner-Grundschule. At the end, a course in the form of a “comic strip” through the center of Erlangen will present the results of the workshops.
