The comic series „Katze“, a striptease of the soul about two male cats and a female cat that persistently bite their way towards the stage, was initially a promotion gag for the CD “von hinten!” by the band “Katze”. After a few episodes, it took on a life of its own. In 2006, when it won the ICOM Independent Comic Prize, the jury wrote: “The fact that this short comic has won in such an appropriate category is due to Cornfield’s secret superpower of putting so much into the three panels that make up each episode that an awesome band feeling develops that you want to relive time and again. And all at once, lots of short comics turn into a 29-part soap opera in the style of Dallas or North and South.”

An exhibition by the Britannia Store on the occasion of the 15th Erlangen International Comic Salon
